This study aims to address the high rate of type 2 diabetes in this population by testing if 72 SMS messages over six months improve weight loss by 3% more than the program alone. The study is a randomized controlled trial involving 300 participants. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups one group will follow the FindRisc Pei-CPTS program, which includes sports sessions, dietary consultations, and therapeutic education, plus receive 72 SMS messages encouraging activity and nutrition the other group will follow the program without SMS messages. The intervention lasts between 3 and 9 months, with the SMS delivered over the first 6 months. During the study, participants will undergo assessments including weight and waist measurements and complete self-efficacy and lifestyle questionnaires at inclusion and follow-up visits at 3, 6, and 9 months after starting the program. Researchers will measure weight loss at 6 months as the primary outcome. The study will help understand how SMS reminders may support diabetes prevention and inform healthcare recommendations.
