AI-Summary

What this Trial Is About

This research aims to improve the health and well-being of cancer survivors and their co-survivors living in areas of persistent poverty by providing support for healthy behavior changes. The study focuses on promoting a healthy diet and regular physical activity tailored to the challenges of these communities and their social determinants of health. Participants will engage with the LEAP Program, which combines a publicly available website offering educational materials on healthy eating, exercise, and maintaining a healthy body weight. Additionally, participants may attend optional in-person group sessions held in the community to reinforce the website content. During the study, participants' weekly intake of vegetables, fruits, and sugar-sweetened beverages will be measured, along with physical activity levels tracked by accelerometer and self-report, body mass index (BMI), overall quality of life, and physical performance. These assessments will occur at the beginning and after 12 weeks of participation. The program will also be evaluated at 12 weeks to understand its impact and effectiveness.
