Researchers are evaluating the real-world effectiveness of Repatha® combined with standard of care (SOC) compared to SOC alone in reducing major cardiovascular events. The study focuses on people with established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) who are treated according to local clinical practice. The goal is to see how these treatments affect the risk of cardiovascular death, heart attacks, stroke, hospitalization for unstable angina, or coronary revascularization. Participants will either be prescribed Repatha® in addition to their existing SOC treatment or continue with SOC alone. The study follows these participants over time to observe outcomes. Treatments are given according to local guidelines and approved labels, reflecting real-world medical care. During the study, researchers will monitor participants for the time until the first occurrence of any major cardiovascular event listed above, for up to 72 months. Participants will undergo regular assessments to track their health status and treatment effects. Safety and effectiveness are observed through ongoing real-world data collection in this prospective, observational study.

Researchers are studying the effects of Yiyang Huoluo Decoction, a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, on older adults aged 50 to 75 years with coronary heart disease and atherosclerosis. This clinical trial aims to discover whether adding this herbal treatment to standard Western heart medications improves symptoms and heart health, as well as to evaluate its safety and potential impact on blood vessel repair at a cellular level. The study is conducted in Phase 1 and Phase 2 stages, focusing on older individuals who have undergone drug-eluting stent implantation for severe vascular narrowing. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two groups: one group receives standard Western heart medications, including antiplatelet drugs, statins, beta-blockers, and ACEI/ARB agents; the other group receives these medications plus Yiyang Huoluo Decoction herbal granules. The decoction contains multiple herbal ingredients such as Rehmanniae Radix, Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Cornus Officinalis Fructus, and others. The treatment period lasts 12 weeks, during which participants follow the prescribed decoction regimen alongside their regular medications. During the study, participants attend scheduled visits for health evaluations, blood tests, and heart and blood vessel imaging scans like carotid ultrasound and coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA). They also provide blood samples for research, complete symptom assessments, and report any side effects or health changes. Researchers measure outcomes including traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, angina severity using the Canadian Cardiovascular Society grading, and the incidence of in-stent restenosis at 36 weeks. Researchers are evaluating the safety and effectiveness of 9MW1911 in people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) through a Phase II, multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial. The study focuses on patients aged 40 to 75 years who have a history of moderate to severe COPD exacerbations and moderate-to-severe COPD lung function impairment. This trial aims to compare 9MW1911 to a placebo to better understand its impact on COPD symptoms and exacerbations. Participants will be assigned to receive either intravenous 9MW1911 or a placebo every 28 days. The treatment period lasts 52 weeks, during which the study drug is administered monthly. Researchers are studying the effectiveness, safety, and tolerability of ponsegromab combined with standard chemotherapy compared to chemotherapy with placebo in adults who have cachexia and metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. This Phase 2b/3 study includes participants who have already completed initial chemotherapy cycles and aims to evaluate ponsegromab as a first-line treatment option for this condition. The study includes a randomized, double-blind design conducted across multiple centers and countries. Participants will receive either one of two doses of ponsegromab or a placebo, both given alongside standard chemotherapy regimens such as nab-paclitaxel plus gemcitabine or FOLFIRINOX. The study intervention is administered subcutaneously every four weeks. After Phase 2b, one ponsegromab dose will be selected for Phase 3, and participants may continue or switch doses accordingly while maintaining blinding. An optional open-label extension allows participants to receive ponsegromab for up to 12 months after the double-blind study period. During the study, participants will undergo tumor assessments every 6 to 8 weeks by independent radiologists. Researchers will measure body weight changes and anorexia symptoms over 12 weeks to assess treatment impact. The study also includes a caregiver sub-study to explore the quality of life and well-being of primary caregivers.
