Observational Study of Patients with Epithelioid Sarcoma in Italy Understanding Disease Variants, Treatments, and Outcomes

Researchers are conducting a prospective observational study to describe the population affected by Epithelioid Sarcoma ES. The study aims to deepen understanding of the diseases natural history, explore differences between classical-type and proximal-type ES variants, and address outstanding questions regarding its management to help tailor treatments and improve patient outcomes. Participants diagnosed with localized or advanced epithelioid sarcoma and treated at Italian reference centers for sarcoma will be observed. Treatments for ES will follow disease guidelines, and the study will track therapies such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy over time. The study does not involve experimental treatments but focuses on collecting detailed information about patient care and disease progression. Throughout the study, researchers will monitor the types of treatments given from diagnosis up to 60 months, including regular assessments of radiotherapy and chemotherapy every six months. They will also study predictive biomarkers for treatment response at diagnosis and during disease progression when biopsies are performed. Participants will provide informed consent and are expected to comply with treatment and follow-up during the study period, which may continue until 2030.
