Researchers are evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of the RISE for Nurse Managers retreat, a program aimed at improving occupational and psychological well-being for nurse managers experiencing burnout and related stress. The study focuses on nurse managers employed by AdventHealth and assesses impacts on resilience, insight, self-compassion, empowerment, burnout, and secondary trauma. This pilot study explores delivering the program in a retreat format over 2.5 days instead of the usual weekly sessions. The intervention group will attend the RISE Retreat program, a 2.5-day psychoeducational group facilitated by licensed mental health professionals. The retreat is based on the RISE program, which traditionally involves 8 or 9 weekly 90-minute sessions focusing on Resilience, Insight, Self-Compassion, and Empowerment. This study tests the delivery of this program in an intensive retreat style to evaluate its feasibility and acceptability. Participants will be assessed using various psychological and occupational well-being scales such as the Maslach Burnout Inventory, Professional Quality of Life Scale, Brief Resilience Scale, and others at baseline and follow-ups at 1, 3, and 6 months. Employment status will be collected at 12 months post-program. The study monitors changes in burnout, stress, anxiety, depression, and empowerment indicators to understand the retreat's impact. Total participation spans over a year with multiple follow-up assessments.
