Age: 60Years +
All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patient 60 years or older
  • Both sexes
  • Patients scheduled for on-pump open heart surgery, either isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) or combined CABG and valve surgery
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • History of central nervous system disease such as epilepsy, brain tumors, or dementia
  • Presence of metabolic disturbances
  • Illiteracy
  • Severe cognitive impairment based on Mini-mental state Examination (MMSE) or Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)
  • Inability to undergo Digital Electroencephalography (DEEG) recordings due to uncooperativeness
  • Abnormal brain imaging findings except for small vessel disease
