Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Presence of primary or recurrent liver echinococcosis disease requiring surgical treatment
- Cyst diameter greater than 5 cm
- Undergoing surgical treatment of liver echinococcosis with intraoperative sampling of the fibrous capsule with or without adjacent liver tissue for research
- Signed informed consent to participate in the study
You will not qualify if you...
- Liver echinococcosis with cysts smaller than 5 cm in diameter
- Presence of severe other health disorders
