Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Lower limb amputation at ankle (Symes) level or above
- Age 18 years or older
- Regular use of a walking prosthesis for home and/or community ambulation
- Good socket fit with a score of 8-10 on the socket fit comfort scale
- Ability to walk for at least three minutes continuously with or without an assistive device
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of leg or foot ulcers or other painful conditions during weight-bearing
- Poor skin integrity that may cause tissue breakdown from walking
- Cardiovascular, respiratory, or other critical health conditions preventing moderate physical activity
- Upper limb absence or loss at the wrist or above that prevents bilateral use of handrails or causes asymmetrical posture
- Pregnancy
