The study aims to compare the effectiveness of the Gokhale Method posture therapy for low back pain (LBP) management to standard physical therapy (PT) with posture training. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 65 years
- Lower back pain rated 4 or higher on the Numeric Pain Rating Scale
- Disability score of 7 or above on the Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire
- Able to speak English
- Have health insurance
You will not qualify if you...
- Currently pregnant
- Cognitive or communication impairments
- Recommended for surgery
- Participating in other interventions
- History of chronic neurological disorders affecting mobility (e.g., stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis)
- Diagnosis of fibromyalgia
- Received physical therapy for low back pain within the last 6 months
- Untreated mental disorders or depression
- Presence of neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's disease
