What this Trial Is About

With the growth of China's economy and changes in diet, metabolic diseases like hypertension, diabetes, hyperuricemia, and obesity have become major health concerns, leading to chronic kidney disease (CKD). Researchers are studying how these diseases cause kidney damage through mechanisms such as hormone system activation, blood vessel dysfunction, oxidative stress, and inflammation. The study aims to create a patient group with CKD caused by metabolic diseases to find risk factors for disease progression and identify early diagnostic and treatment biomarkers. Participants will be grouped based on their primary metabolic condition: hypertension, diabetes, hyperuricemia, or obesity. The study will collect blood, urine, and imaging data to detect biomarkers that might help in early diagnosis and predict disease outcomes. This is an observational study, meaning participants will be monitored without receiving specific treatments from the study. During the 3-year study, participants will be regularly assessed for kidney function decline, complications of CKD, cardiovascular events, and overall health quality using tools like the SF-36 questionnaire and the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Researchers will also track serious outcomes such as progression to end-stage renal disease and death. The study involves ongoing observation to better understand disease progression and improve early detection methods.
