Researchers are conducting a descriptive cross-sectional study to evaluate stroke events in a hospital located in the Orinoco region of Colombia. The study aims to analyze patient data from a stroke registry to understand care patterns, treatment delays, and adherence to clinical guidelines. This registry is reviewed monthly by a scientific committee to improve healthcare quality and standardize treatments for stroke patients. The study involves collecting demographic information, disease data, and discharge outcomes from patients admitted to the emergency room with suspected stroke based on neurological deficits or headache. Data is systematically gathered in a database called RES-Q, and the records will be reviewed and analyzed using statistical methods during the study period. The study does not include any interventions or treatments as it is observational. Participants will be adults diagnosed with stroke, whose clinical and CT findings confirm the condition. Researchers will assess the participants functional condition 30 days after the stroke event. The study relies on reviewing existing patient records and does not require active treatment or visits beyond routine care. The total study duration extends until April 2027, allowing comprehensive data collection and analysis.
