What this Trial Is About
This research aims to explore the neurobehavioral basis of how healthy individuals perceive and analyze their own and others' verbal and non-verbal actions. Understanding these neuronal mechanisms is important for grasping the complexity of social behaviors and has wide implications in neuroscience and related fields. The study focuses on identifying markers that capture how communication dynamics evolve over time in interactions. Participants are divided into four groups to perform verbal and non-verbal communication tasks. Two groups complete these tasks alone using behavioral measurements, while the other two perform them with a partner. Additionally, two of the groups undergo neurophysiological monitoring during task performance to record brain and muscle activity. This setup allows comparison of behavioral and neural responses in solo and interactive contexts. During the study, participants will be assessed using behavioral and neurophysiological techniques, including monitoring body movements and brain activity. The main outcome being measured is the Embodiment Scale, which evaluates participants' experience during the tasks. The study uses a randomized design with single masking and includes healthy adults aged 18 to 55. Participation involves various tasks and measurements to understand the interaction between motor and perceptual systems in communication.
