Phase 2 Open-Label Extension Study of PF-07868489 for Adults with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Who Previously Participated in a PF-07868489 Study

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating the long-term safety, tolerability, and effects of the study medicine PF-07868489 in adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension PAH. PAH is a condition where high blood pressure in the arteries carrying blood from the heart to the lungs makes it harder for the heart to pump blood and may damage the right side of the heart. This open-label extension study allows participants from an earlier clinical trial with PF-07868489 to continue treatment and assessment for extended monitoring. Participants will receive subcutaneous injections of PF-07868489 every four weeks throughout the study. As an extension study, it builds on previous treatment exposure, focusing on long-term use of this medicine. Both participants and healthcare providers know the treatment being given, and no placebo is involved. During the study, participants will have regular evaluations including monitoring for treatment-emergent adverse events, serious adverse events, changes in laboratory test results, vital signs, electrocardiogram parameters, and levels of specific biomarkers such as NT-proBNP. The study also tracks plasma drug concentrations and immune responses to the drug. These assessments will occur from baseline up to about 111 weeks, providing detailed information about the medicines effects and safety over time.
