Dental caries is a common oral disease, and early accurate detection is important for effective treatment and preventing progression. This study evaluates and compares different digital diagnostic technologies, including intraoral imaging, radiographic methods, AI-based analysis, and transillumination Diagnocam, for detecting dental caries in clinical practice. The research aims to improve early caries detection and diagnostic strategies in dentistry. Participants will undergo diagnostic assessments using various digital technologies alongside conventional methods. Each participant will have these digital diagnostic tests followed by clinical verification through cavity opening to confirm findings. The study is conducted in clinical settings such as university hospitals and private dental clinics, focusing on assessing the accuracy of these technologies. During the study, participants will receive dental examinations involving photodocumentation, bitewing radiographs, and AI-based diagnostic evaluations. Researchers will measure how accurately each technology detects carious lesions on the same day as the baseline visit. The study includes participants aged 18 to 65 years with permanent teeth and carious lesions in specific tooth segments, and it monitors diagnostic performance to inform better clinical use of these technologies.
