Asthma is a common chronic condition in children, especially those living in urban settings. This trial focuses on understanding behavioral changes in children aged 4 to 12 who have been diagnosed with bronchial asthma. Researchers are interested in exploring the connections between asthma and psychosocial factors, including various behavioral problems such as anxiety, depression, and oppositional behaviors, which may affect children with or without borderline personality disorder traits. Participants will be divided into two groups: children with asthma and a control group without chronic medical conditions. The study involves diagnostic testing using psychometry, including ADHD assessments and IQ level measurements. These evaluations are designed to observe and compare behavioral changes over the course of one year. Throughout the one-year study period, children will be assessed for behavioral changes associated with their asthma condition. Researchers will monitor and record findings related to internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems. The study aims to provide insights into how asthma may influence mental health and behavior in affected children, with all assessments conducted under medical supervision.
