What this Trial Is About
Cancer survivors often face ongoing psychological challenges such as anxiety, fatigue, fear of cancer returning, and lowered quality of life after finishing their main treatment. Researchers are evaluating a new approach that combines routine digital screening for psychosocial distress with a follow-up psycho-oncological Navigation Call. This study focuses on how feasible and acceptable this combined intervention is for cancer survivors. Participants will undergo a routine digital psychosocial screening followed by a semi-structured Navigation Call conducted 7 to 14 days after their follow-up consultation. During the call, trained psycho-oncologists discuss the screening results, identify any unmet psychosocial needs, address barriers to care, and help facilitate referrals to supportive care services. This approach aims to improve access to psychosocial support after primary cancer treatment. During the study, participants will complete the digital screening at their first follow-up consultation and then receive the Navigation Call shortly after. Researchers will assess how well the Navigation Call works, how acceptable both the screening and call are to participants, and measure various aspects of psychosocial burden such as distress, physical and emotional functioning, fatigue, sleep problems, and quality of life. They will also track use of psycho-oncological support and community programs over about four months. The total study duration extends until May 2028.
