What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating the short-term effects of the BriTer Eyez Moisture Vue14 On-Demand Disposable Moisture Chamber in people with mild to moderate dry eye disease. The study aims to find out if wearing this device for two hours can improve tear film stability, tear volume, and tear osmolarity, which are important for eye comfort and health. Participants will wear the disposable silicone moisture chamber device attached to their eyeglass spectacles for two hours under supervised conditions. The device is designed to increase humidity around the eyes and reduce tear evaporation. Tear film measurements and dry eye symptom surveys will be collected before and after wearing the device to assess its impact. During the study, researchers will measure changes in tear break-up time, tear meniscus height, and tear osmolarity at baseline and after two hours of device use. They will also evaluate symptom changes using surveys, assess usability of the device, and monitor blink rate and lipid layer thickness. The study participation involves a single two-hour session with eye assessments before and after device wear.
