The overarching goal of the current study is to reduce the burden Asian American patients may feel are on their caregivers by designing and testing the feasibility and efficacy of a positive activity intervention designed to increase a sense of autonomy, competence, and connectedness, each of which have been shown to be associated with psychological benefits according to self-determination theory.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Self-identifies as Asian American or Asian
- Male or female aged 21 to 80 years
- Within 2 years of any cancer diagnosis or has stage 4 cancer
- Currently undergoing surgery or systemic therapy (chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy) or completed such treatment within the past 6 months
- Able to identify a caregiver who lives in the same household or is seen at least 3 times per week
- Able to read, write, and speak English or Mandarin/simplified Chinese
- Caregivers must identify as Asian American or Asian
- Caregiver must be considered a caregiver by the patient
- Caregiver must be proficient in English or Mandarin Chinese
- Caregiver must have access to computer/phone, internet, and web browser
You will not qualify if you...
- Life expectancy less than 6 months as judged by primary physician
- Inability to stand or walk independently or other physical limitations preventing participation (ECOG status 3 or higher)
- Major thought disorder such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder
- Caregivers unwilling or unable to participate
- Caregivers under age 18
