Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients diagnosed with cervical esophageal diverticulum, including Zenker's diverticulum or cricopharyngeal bar as shown on esophagram
  • Patients undergoing open transcervical or rigid endoscopic surgery using laser or stapler to divide the wall between the diverticulum and esophagus
  • Patients who are not surgical candidates but agree to follow-up
  • Enrollment regardless of surgical management or future treatments
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patients who have treatment involving division of the diverticulum wall using flexible endoscopy will be excluded
