Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients diagnosed with cervical esophageal diverticulum, including Zenker's diverticulum or cricopharyngeal bar as shown on esophagram
- Patients undergoing open transcervical or rigid endoscopic surgery using laser or stapler to divide the wall between the diverticulum and esophagus
- Patients who are not surgical candidates but agree to follow-up
- Enrollment regardless of surgical management or future treatments
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients who have treatment involving division of the diverticulum wall using flexible endoscopy will be excluded
