Creating a Video and Audio Database for Teaching Clinical Skills in Occupational Therapy

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are creating a video and audio database to help teach and learn clinical skills in occupational therapy. This database will feature recordings of clinical teaching sessions, skill demonstrations, student practice, and interactions among occupational therapists, trainees, and patients or their family members. The goal is to support education and research on clinical skills teaching and assessment in occupational therapy. The study involves collecting voluntary video or audio recordings of clinical teaching or therapy-related activities from occupational therapists involved in teaching, occupational therapy interns or postgraduate trainees, and adult patients or family members receiving occupational therapy services. These materials will be carefully stored, anonymized, and organized for future educational use. Participants will be involved by consenting to have their sessions recorded. The researchers will track the number of clinical skills teaching recordings archived in the database from January 2025 through December 2034. There is no experimental treatment or therapy involved, and the study focuses on observation and collection for educational purposes.
