What this Trial Is About

This research aims to evaluate how a home-based exercise plan delivered through a digital health application affects kinesiophobia and functional capacity in sedentary patients who have had a myocardial infarction. Digital health apps have shown potential to improve physical activity by offering personalized exercise plans, real-time feedback, progress tracking, and motivational tools, which may help overcome barriers to rehabilitation, especially for those who cannot attend traditional clinic programs. Participants will be divided into two groups. One group will follow a home-based walking exercise plan using a mobile health app that schedules walking sessions of 15 to 30 minutes, three times per day for four weeks, with the app tracking activity. The other group will follow the same walking schedule but will manually record their activity without using the app. During the study, participants' kinesiophobia and functional capacity will be assessed after four weeks. Researchers will monitor adherence and engagement through the app or manual logs. The study will last for four weeks, focusing on how the exercise plan supported by a mobile app influences physical activity maintenance after cardiac events.
