What this Trial Is About

Researchers are investigating whether Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can improve psychological, neurological, and hormonal factors in women undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). The study seeks to determine if CBT can reduce anxiety, depression, and improve coping mechanisms as well as influence hormone levels like cortisol, norepinephrine, and free triiodothyronine in this group. The study is randomized and compares CBT to no intervention to evaluate these psycho-neuro-endocrine aspects. Participants will attend eight weekly appointments where they will either receive structured CBT or no intervention. Psychological assessments including anxiety, depression, and coping mechanisms will be conducted before the first appointment and during the 3rd, 6th, and 8th sessions. Hormone levels will also be measured at these same time points to track changes over the IVF program. Throughout the study, participants' psychological and hormonal changes will be closely monitored at baseline and during the IVF process at several intervals. The main outcomes focus on improvements in anxiety and depression scores, coping skills, and hormone levels measured at baseline and at 3 and 5 weeks into the IVF program. The total participation period covers these assessments alongside the therapy or no intervention sessions, with safety and progress continuously evaluated.
