Researchers will monitor daily step counts using accelerometers and evaluate exercise capacity, breathlessness, fatigue, symptom impact, quality of life, and self-efficacy for physical activity. The study includes ongoing tracking of progress and health outcomes to better understand the long-term effects of the coaching intervention.

You may qualify if you...

  • Age over 40 years old
  • Diagnosis of COPD according to GOLD criteria and clinically stable with no recent exacerbations in the past month
  • Currently enrolled in a pulmonary rehabilitation program
  • Own a smartphone with internet access
  • Able to understand and provide informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Participating simultaneously in another behavioral modification program
  • Having any clinical condition that prevents participation in a physical activity intervention, such as severe musculoskeletal or neurological disorders or unstable cardiovascular disease
  • Having another primary respiratory disease
  • History of recent cancer or neoplasia in the past year, including treatment
