What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating the effects of Basic Body Awareness Therapy BBAT on walking patterns and foot pressure in healthy young adults aged 18 to 25 years. This interventional study aims to understand how BBAT influences gait speed and other walking parameters, along with static and dynamic pressure distribution on the feet. The study focuses on assessing improvements in movement coordination and balance, with measurements taken before, immediately after, and three months following the therapy. Participants will engage in a 12-week BBAT program with sessions twice weekly, each lasting 45 to 60 minutes. These sessions are led by physiotherapists trained in BBAT, involving low-intensity exercises that emphasize posture, balance, coordination, breathing, weight transfer, and movement quality. The program is designed to enhance awareness of body contact with the floor and improve trunk control and fluidity of movement. Throughout the study, participants will undergo detailed assessments including the 10-meter walk test and static stance measurements using specialized instrumented insoles. Data collected will cover multiple gait parameters such as speed, step length, cadence, and foot pressure distribution. Therapy adherence is tracked through attendance, requiring at least 80% participation. Follow-up evaluations occur immediately after the 12-week therapy and again three months later to monitor lasting effects. The total study duration spans from initial screening through to the last follow-up assessment.
