What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating the effects of corrective exercise programs and kinesio taping (KT) on performance and functional mobility in adolescent male basketball players aged 9 to 16 years. Kinesio taping is applied to regulate muscle tone, enhance proprioception, improve circulation, and support pain management. Corrective exercises aim to fix movement disorders and musculoskeletal imbalances while improving functional movement quality. This study compares these methods directly in young basketball players to provide insights for performance and injury prevention. Participants will be divided into three groups: one receiving a personalized corrective exercise program designed using artificial intelligence based on initial assessments, performed twice a week for 6 weeks alongside routine training; another group receiving kinesio taping applied to specific muscles twice a week for 6 weeks with routine training; and a control group continuing their usual training without additional interventions. The study duration is 6 weeks of treatment within a 12-month project timeline. During the study, participants will undergo various functional movement and performance tests, such as the Y Balance Test, Functional Movement System assessments, Agility T test, vertical jump measurements (My Jump 2), Seated Medicine Ball Throw Test, and Closed Kinetic Chain Lower Extremity Stability Test. These tests will be conducted at enrollment, 3 weeks, and 6 weeks to measure improvements. The study is randomized and single-masked, with a total of 45 male basketball players from a sports club participating.
