What this Trial Is About
This research aims to co-design and evaluate a wraparound intervention to support young people transitioning away from homelessness. The study focuses on understanding what types of support these youth need to live meaningful and thriving lives. It seeks to determine whether the intervention is feasible, meaning if participants will engage, and acceptable, meaning if they find the supports satisfactory and beneficial. Participants will take part in an 18-month wraparound intervention that includes job placement assistance, housing stabilization funds, grocery supplements, access to a community connections worker, coaching, and a Tools for Intentional Living program. These supports are designed to help youth improve their economic, social, and identity capital. During the study, participants will be assessed at baseline, 6, 12, and 18 months on various outcomes such as food insecurity, employment, education, housing security, income, social connectedness, social support, self-esteem, hope, and self-efficacy. Researchers will also track engagement with employment placement, coaching, group programs, and community workers. The study will measure recruitment, enrollment, and dropout rates to evaluate feasibility and acceptability.
