Study of Indonesian Asthma Gymnastic Exercise for Adults with Stable Asthma Evaluating Breathing and Exercise Benefits for Ages 18 to 65

Researchers are evaluating the effectiveness of Indonesian Asthma Gymnastic exercises as a combined pulmonary rehabilitation method for adults with stable asthma across all asthma classifications. The study focuses on measuring improvements in walking distance, asthma control, lung function, and peak flow rate while participants continue their regular asthma treatment, including medication, healthy lifestyle education, and smoking cessation support. Participants will engage in the Indonesian Asthma Gymnastic exercise, which is an aerobic structured workout consisting of eight phases warming up, stretching, two core movement sets, three aerobic segments, and cooling down. This intervention is designed specifically for asthmatic patients and is assessed over a four-week period. During the study, participants will be evaluated using several tests, including the 6-minute walk test, Asthma Control Test, and lung function measurements like Forced Expiratory Volume and Forced Vital Capacity at baseline and after four weeks. The peak flow rate will be monitored weekly throughout the study. These assessments help researchers understand how the exercise impacts asthma control and physical capacity over time.
