This research aims to determine how common advanced chronic kidney disease stage 4 and 5 is in the Gard department of France by using data from laboratory tests. The study also evaluates whether the care needs identified through these lab results match the nephrology care patients receive, following recommendations by the French High Authority of Health HAS. Participants in this observational study include people diagnosed with stage 4 or higher chronic kidney disease. The study collects and compares laboratory data with records of patients who have been seen by nephrologists in the region. This comparison helps assess whether patients needing specialized kidney care are receiving it appropriately. During the study, researchers will analyze data over a 12-month period to measure the prevalence of advanced chronic kidney disease based on lab results and nephrologist reports. They will also track how many patients with this condition are correctly identified and managed by nephrologists, and how many are not seen by specialists. The study does not involve any treatments or interventions, focusing instead on data collection and analysis to improve understanding of care delivery for chronic kidney disease.
