What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating the safety of postoperative hypofractionated radiotherapy in patients with Stage IIIII thymic epithelial tumors who have undergone complete tumor removal. This Phase II study aims to assess treatment-related safety and tolerability, while also exploring early signs of effectiveness, economic impact, and quality of life for participants. Eligible patients will receive adjuvant hypofractionated radiotherapy at a total dose of 40 Gy, delivered in 15 daily fractions of 2.67 Gy each, five days per week over three weeks. Before starting treatment, participants undergo a screening period of up to 28 days. The study focuses on one treatment group receiving this radiotherapy after surgery. Participants will be closely monitored for treatment-related side effects up to 3 months after radiotherapy. Additional assessments include disease-free survival, overall survival, recurrence rates, economic costs, quality of life, and swallowing function over a follow-up period of up to 3 years. Study visits and evaluations will support safety monitoring and data collection throughout their participation.
