What this Trial Is About
Researchers are studying kidney diseases caused by the immune system, such as nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, membranous nephropathy, lupus nephritis, and nephritis linked to connective tissue disorders. This observational study aims to better understand the causes, abnormalities, and clinical features of these autoimmune kidney diseases and related immune disorders that may lead to kidney problems. Participants with known or suspected immune-related kidney diseases or immune conditions that could affect the kidneys will be followed over time. The study collects clinical data and samples during routine care, including blood and urine, to support research on immune dysregulation, antibody development, metabolic and endocrine changes, and immune cell roles in disease. These samples and data will help characterize disease progression and responses to standard treatments. During the study, participants undergo medical history reviews, physical exams, and standard lab tests to monitor their condition and treatment responses. Researchers will analyze biospecimens continuously to advance knowledge about rare and complex kidney disorders. Participants may be asked to provide additional blood or urine samples for further research, and the study supports identifying candidates for other experimental treatments based on evaluations.
