Researchers are evaluating a new integrated strategy combining Traditional Chinese Medicine TCM and Western Medicine to manage type 2 diabetes. The study aims to create an efficient, personalized, and intelligent long-distance management system that reduces diabetes complications and improves patients quality of life. This approach addresses current challenges in diabetes care in China, such as high costs and low efficiency, by blending the strengths of both medical traditions and using digital health technologies. Participants will be assigned to one of two groups. One group will use an innovative smart platform that includes connected devices, a mobile app, and cloud services to support diabetes management. This platform offers personalized assessments based on TCM and Western medical data, automated reminders for glucose monitoring, medication, and lifestyle, and access to a multidisciplinary expert team online. The management plan is updated every three months with ongoing data analysis. The other group will receive standard diabetes care, including regular endocrinologist visits, medication, and routine education, without access to the smart platform or personalized remote support. Participants will be monitored for six months, with evaluations including blood tests for glycated hemoglobin HbA1c and blood glucose levels to assess diabetes control. Researchers will track how often participants maintain their blood glucose within target ranges and the rate of achieving glycemic goals. The study involves continuous remote monitoring, regular follow-ups, and use of digital tools to support adherence. The total participation time for outcome measurement is six months, focusing on improving long-term diabetes management through integrated care.
