International Study on Headache, Vertigo, and Chronic Pain Registries Including Migraine, Tension-Type Headache, Vestibular Migraine, and Fibromyalgia in Patients Aged 4 to 99 Years

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying patients aged 4 to 99 years who experience various types of headaches, vertigo conditions, and chronic pain, including migraine, tension-type headache, vestibular migraine, and fibromyalgia. This international registration study aims to investigate biomarkers, imaging features, heart-lung shunts, genetic characteristics, treatments, and outcomes related to these headache-related disorders with planned long-term follow-up. Participants are grouped by headache and vertigo types, including migraine all types, other primary headache disorders, vertigo disorders excluding vestibular migraine, secondary headache disorders, and a group of normal individuals without headache or vertigo. The study collects detailed clinical data and assessments, focusing on real-world treatment and disease characteristics. Participants will undergo evaluations including symptom diaries, biomarker tests, various MRI imaging methods, echocardiography, and questionnaires measuring headache impact, disability, quality of life, mental health, and physical function. The study tracks outcomes such as migraine and headache days, attack frequency, pain intensity, and physiological measures over medium and long-term periods, with continuous monitoring planned for up to 60 years.
