Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Must provide signed informed consent
- Must agree to follow study procedures
- Healthy controls must have no history of neurological, orthopedic, or rheumatologic diseases
- Healthy controls must have no sensory impairments
- Healthy controls must have no epilepsy or acute or chronic psychiatric disorders
- Parkinson's patients must have non-tremor dominant idiopathic Parkinson's disease
- Parkinson's patients must have postural instability (UPDRS >1) and gait disturbance without other causes of balance problems
- Parkinson's patients must have implanted Percept™ PC neurostimulator
- Parkinson's patients must be able to be in stimulation OFF state
You will not qualify if you...
- Cognitive impairment with Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score less than 20
- History of physical or neurological conditions interfering with study procedures
- Social or personal circumstances preventing ability to attend the study session
