What this Trial Is About
This observational study investigates the connection between jaw dysfunction, neck joint position sense, head posture, neck pain, and the severity of temporomandibular disorders TMD in adults. It aims to understand how these factors relate and which may predict the severity of TMD. Participants with TMD symptoms are included to provide insights into these associations. Participants with TMD symptoms will undergo a one-time evaluation involving clinical assessments and questionnaires. These assessments measure mandibular function, cervical joint position sense in various directions, craniovertebral angle, neck pain history, and overall TMD severity. No active treatment or intervention is applied during this study. During the study visit, participants will complete standardized clinical tests and fill out questionnaires to assess their jaw and neck function and pain history. The primary outcome is the severity of TMD, with secondary measures including specific joint position senses, posture angle, neck symptoms, and mandibular function impairment. This cross-sectional study involves a single assessment at baseline, with no follow-up visits planned.
