What this Trial Is About
Researchers are studying individuals with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) to explore the relationship between strengthening exercises and a concept called Ikigai, which means a sense of purpose or joy in life. The study focuses on how education and motivation led by nurses can help manage cardiovascular risk factors, improve quality of life, and reduce illness and death rates. It aims to provide insights for healthcare professionals to better support patients with CAD by considering both physical and emotional factors. This is an observational study with no specific treatments or interventions given to participants. Instead, the research involves assessing patients' current health status and their sense of Ikigai while they manage their disease through their usual care. The study takes into account individual needs and psychological states alongside traditional cardiac rehabilitation topics like smoking cessation, weight and blood pressure management, physical activity, and diabetes control. Participants will be evaluated over two months from the start of the study. Researchers will collect information about empowerment and Ikigai levels, sociodemographic factors, and quality of life. The study includes interviews and questionnaires to understand the patients' psychological and emotional well-being in addition to their physical health. The results aim to help doctors and nurses plan personalized care for people with CAD and add valuable knowledge to existing research.
