Italian Multicenter Study Collecting Data on Open and Semi-Conversion Surgeries After Endovascular Aneurysm Repair

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying patients with complications following endovascular abdominal aneurysm repair EVAR that cannot be fixed with further endovascular procedures. This observational study aims to collect data from multiple centers on two types of surgical treatments late open conversion LOC, involving total or partial removal of the endograft more than 30 days after the initial EVAR, and semi-conversion SC, which involves open or laparoscopic surgery to correct endoleaks while keeping the endograft intact. Participants are grouped based on their treatment type either undergoing open conversions, which entails removing the endograft, or semi-conversions, involving surgery to fix aneurysm-related complications without removing the graft. The study gathers detailed technical information and outcomes from these procedures across centers. During the study, researchers will track early mortality within 30 days, in-hospital mortality by 90 days, and long-term survival over 4 years. They will also monitor early morbidity and related complications up to 4 years. This information will help evaluate the safety and outcomes of both surgical approaches in patients with late EVAR complications.
