Researchers are evaluating a new parent support program designed to help parents manage challenging behaviors in children, especially those showing inattentive, hyperactive, and impulsive behaviors often associated with ADHD. The program aims to teach parents strategies for handling everyday situations like transitions, waiting, and task completion through educational videos delivered via a popular texting platform. This open trial study focuses on the feasibility and preliminary effects of providing parenting education using digital media, addressing the limited access to traditional psychosocial treatments. The program consists of a series of videos covering different behavioral management techniques, including antecedent- and reinforcement-based strategies, delivered automatically through text messages. Parents receive information over multiple modules focused on specific challenging situations such as following through on tasks, waiting, overcoming task difficulties, and managing transitions between activities. The program encourages parents to build positive parenting habits and aims to support stress management. Participants will engage in the program over one month, during which researchers will track the number of videos viewed, completion of daily ratings, and participant satisfaction. Assessments include parent ratings of their childs difficulties and impairment in target situations, as well as measures of positive and negative parenting practices and parenting stress. This study seeks to gather data on the usability of the digital format and the potential behavioral impacts on children and parents.
