What this Trial Is About
This research aims to explore and evaluate a therapist-guided Internet-delivered psychological treatment designed for adults diagnosed with ADHD, focusing on attention deficit and hyperactivity/impulsivity symptoms. The study intends to assess predictors of treatment adherence and response, the feasibility and benefits of using this treatment in routine outpatient care, and its cost-effectiveness. The trial will contribute to understanding how Internet-based therapies can be integrated into regular care for adults with ADHD. Participants will engage with a guided self-help program called MinADHD, which consists of seven behavioral modules delivered online through computers or smartphones. This open longitudinal cohort trial plans to include 200 adults diagnosed with ADHD, with 15 participants also interviewed about their treatment experiences. The study is conducted in routine care settings without blinding or placebo controls. During the study, participants will be assessed using several measures from enrollment through a six-month follow-up period, including the Adult ADHD Self-Rating Scale and Adult ADHD Quality of Life Measure as primary outcomes. Secondary outcomes include assessments of depression, anxiety, personality disorder severity, and overall health quality. Researchers will use both statistical and qualitative methods to analyze treatment effects, adherence, and implementation outcomes, aiming to improve availability and adoption of Internet-delivered treatments for ADHD.
