What this Trial Is About

This research aims to create a biobank of biological samples from males related to infertility and assisted reproductive technologies (ART). The collected specimens include testicular tissue, sperm, semen samples, donor sperm, or discarded sperm preparations. These samples may have been used for diagnostic testing like semen analyses or DNA fragmentation testing, or for ART procedures such as intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The study focuses on preserving these samples for future research on male infertility and ART. The biobank collects samples from males who provide specimens during infertility treatment or from sperm recipients using donor sperm. These biological materials are stored and preserved after their clinical use or when no longer needed for treatment. Rather than discarding these samples, participants may choose to donate them to support ongoing and future research efforts. Participants contribute by allowing their leftover clinical samples to be stored and used for research purposes. Researchers will track and maintain the biobank for at least five years, enabling studies that aim to improve understanding and treatment of male infertility and ART. No direct interventions or treatments are administered as part of this observational study, and participant involvement mainly involves sample donation and consent for research use.
