Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Clinical diagnosis of differentiated thyroid cancer with a maximum tumor diameter not exceeding 4 cm
- No suspicious lateral lymph nodes or distant metastases
- High cosmetic expectations from participants
- Participants must have undergone total thyroidectomy and central lymph node dissection
You will not qualify if you...
- Fusion or fixation of lymph nodes in the neck
- History of neck surgery or radiation
- Vocal fold fixation detected by preoperative fibrolaryngoscope
- Preoperative evidence suggestive of extrathyroidal invasion
- Significantly restricted neck movement or anatomy
