What this Trial Is About

This research aims to evaluate whether using robotic assistance in orthopaedic trauma surgery can improve surgical accuracy and outcomes compared to conventional methods. The study focuses on patients with orthopaedic trauma and fractures, seeking to shorten recovery time and reduce post-operative complications using minimally invasive robotic surgery. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a control group receiving standard surgery without robotic assistance or to an experimental group where surgery is performed using the R-Universal Intelligent Robotic Surgical System. This device assists the surgeon by holding pins on the bone and guiding fracture reduction under 3D real-time navigation, aiming for more precise alignment and minimally invasive fixation. During the study, participants will undergo various assessments including operation time, blood loss, hospital stay length, X-rays, and CT scans up to 52 weeks after surgery. Their recovery will be monitored through physical tests, muscle strength evaluations, quality of life questionnaires, and adverse event tracking. The study will follow participants from before surgery through one year post-operation to observe outcomes and complications.
