What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating the effectiveness of preemptive incisional infiltration with ropivacaine combined with triamcinolone compared to ropivacaine alone for relieving postoperative pain in adults undergoing laparoscopic surgery. This trial aims to improve pain management, patient safety, and recovery quality after surgeries such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, or hernia repair. The study is a multi-center randomized controlled trial sponsored by Beijing Tiantan Hospital and focuses on prevention of postoperative pain. Participants receive pre-incisional infiltration before surgery according to surgeon markings. One group receives 2ml of triamcinolone 80mg plus 15ml of 1% ropivacaine diluted to 30ml, infiltrated layer by layer into the incision. The other group receives 30ml of 0.5% ropivacaine alone in a similar infiltration method. Both treatments are given before laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia. During the study, researchers measure intravenous morphine equivalents used for rescue analgesics within 48 hours after surgery as the primary outcome. Secondary outcomes include pain scores at rest and during movement over 72 hours, patient satisfaction, postoperative nausea and vomiting, wound healing, adverse events, and scar assessments up to 3 months postoperatively. Participants will be followed through these assessments to evaluate pain relief effectiveness and safety over the recovery period.
