You may qualify if you...

  • Diagnosis of affective or non-affective psychosis or related disorder
  • Follow-up and treatment by a clinician at one of the specified services
  • Symptoms are stable and participant is capable of using online platforms and participating in group interventions
  • Access to a private space to ensure confidentiality during group sessions
  • Ability to nominate an emergency contact and agree to emergency communication during study procedures

  • Intellectual disability
  • Hospitalization at the time of recruitment
  • Inability to speak or read English or French
  • High suicide risk as per evaluation

Screening

Outpatient Treatment

Duration - 8 to 10 weeks

Participants receive one of two virtual cognitive health interventions to improve cognitive function and reduce cognitive biases related to schizophrenia. The interventions are delivered in group sessions through virtual platforms.

Up to 12 sessions over 8 to 10 weeks (virtual group sessions)

Follow-up

Duration - 1 month

Participants are followed for 1 month after completing the intervention to assess maintenance of improvements in cognition, symptoms, social functioning, and well-being.
