What this Trial Is About
This research aims to explore the psychological impact on women diagnosed with Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia (GTN) who have completed chemotherapy treatment. The study focuses on understanding emotional effects, the adequacy of psychological support from health professionals, sources of post-treatment support accessed by patients, and potential improvements in follow-up care. Since GTN is highly treatable but may lead to psychological challenges, this study seeks to gain valuable insights from patients' own experiences. The study involves 20 women who completed single-agent or multi-agent chemotherapy between 6 weeks and 24 months prior to the study. Participants are invited to take part in a semi-structured telephone interview lasting about one hour. These interviews are recorded, transcribed, and analyzed to identify common themes regarding psychological experiences, opinions on post-treatment support, and suggestions for improving patient care. The study does not involve any medical treatment or intervention. Participants will be contacted by the principal investigator and provided with detailed information and consent forms via email. The telephone interviews are conducted in a private setting to ensure comfort and confidentiality. Researchers will analyze the interview data to better understand patient perspectives and to recommend improvements in care. Participants can withdraw at any time, and all data is securely stored to protect privacy. The study is expected to conclude once all data is analyzed, with results shared at relevant professional meetings.
