Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Infants born before 29 weeks' gestational age admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit
- All infants born before 29 weeks' gestational age followed at the Montreal Children's Hospital clinic after NICU admission for prematurity
You will not qualify if you...
- Congenital heart disease except for atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, or patent ductus arteriosus
- Severe congenital lung or airway malformations such as choanal atresia, trachea-esophageal fistula, or congenital pulmonary airway malformation
- Genetic disorders like Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome)
