Study on How Endometrial Blood Flow Affects Outcomes in Women With Endometrial Cancer

Researchers are investigating how preoperative blood flow in the lining of the uterus endometrium relates to outcomes for patients with endometrial cancer. This observational study focuses on measuring blood flow and endometrial characteristics to understand their connection to patient progression-free survival. The study is sponsored by Far Eastern Memorial Hospital and aims to provide insights into endometrial cancer prognosis using sonography techniques. The study involves using sonography to evaluate the volume, vascularity, and blood flow of the endometrium before surgery. Key measurements include endometrial vascularity indexes VFI, FI, VI, volume, and thickness. These factors will be analyzed in relation to the patients progression-free survival over a 12-month period following diagnosis. Participants will be female patients aged over 20 years diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Researchers will monitor these patients using non-invasive ultrasound scans to assess the endometrial blood flow and volume. The main outcome measured is the correlation between blood flow characteristics and progression-free survival at 12 months. The study does not involve treatment interventions and focuses on observation and data collection over time.
