Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide and are increasing in prevalence in Morocco. Researchers are conducting a 10-year follow-up study of adults aged 40 and older who were screened for cardiovascular risk between 2010 and 2012 by the All with heart Association in the Greater Casablanca region. The study aims to evaluate long-term cardiovascular outcomes and develop a risk score specific to the Moroccan population to improve prevention and patient care. This observational study involves following participants who were part of the initial screening campaign, with no interventions applied. Data on cardiovascular events such as deaths, heart attacks, and strokes will be collected through phone calls, WhatsApp, or SMS with participants or their families. Statistical analyses will be used to identify key risk factors and create a predictive model tailored to Morocco. Participants will be contacted periodically to gather follow-up information on their cardiovascular health. The study will measure the incidence of major and minor cardiovascular events over ten years and work on validating a Morocco-specific cardiovascular risk score. The total participation duration is 10 years, with data collection relying on remote communication methods. Safety monitoring includes tracking cardiovascular-related outcomes and deaths.
