Researchers are studying the medical care and treatment of patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis AD, a common chronic inflammatory skin condition that significantly affects quality of life and has economic impact. This national, prospective, multicenter registry in Switzerland aims to fill the gap in detailed data on how AD is managed and to assess the safety and effectiveness of approved therapies in real-world settings. The study includes children aged 12 years and older, adolescents, and adults with moderate-to-severe AD. No experimental treatments are given as part of the study. Instead, patients are followed for at least 24 months with periodic visits to document their clinical information, treatments, patient-reported outcomes, and reasons for treatment choices. Participants will undergo standardized assessments over the observation period to record demographic data, treatment history, comorbidities, and changes in disease severity using tools like SCORAD, EASI, DLQI, POEM, and RECAP. The study primarily evaluates the types of systemic therapies used, while also monitoring quality of life and disease progression. There is no maximum follow-up duration, allowing long-term data collection.
