Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Women aged 20 to 65 years old
- Prediabetes with fasting blood glucose 100-125 mg/dL and/or HbA1c between 5.7-6.4%
- Body Mass Index between 25 and 30 kg/m2
You will not qualify if you...
- Allergy to berries
- Use of insulin, antidiabetic, antibiotics, or anti-inflammatory medications
- Active cancer, gastrointestinal, kidney, thyroid, stage 1 or 2 hypertension, cardiovascular, neurological diseases, or severe head injury
- Smoking
- Consuming more than 2 alcoholic drinks per day
- Taking antioxidant, probiotic, or prebiotic supplements
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Actively involved in a weight loss program
- Currently taking berry supplements or recently participated in a berry supplement study
