What this Trial Is About
This research aims to study tumor deposits at the fusion site between the right and left gastric mesenteries in patients with gastric cancer who have undergone proximal gastrectomy. The focus is on patients with primary gastric adenocarcinoma at specific cancer stages, following guidelines for lymph node removal and surgery. This observational study seeks to provide evidence to improve surgical standards for lymph node clearance in gastric cancer treatment. Participants in this study have received proximal gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy plus complete mesogastric excision, involving removal of certain lymph nodes and the left gastric mesentery while preserving the right gastric mesentery. The study observes tumor deposits at the fusion site of these mesenteries after surgery without adding any extra treatments or interventions. During the study, researchers will assess tumor deposits through postoperative pathological diagnosis over about one year. Participants will undergo routine diagnosis and treatment, with no additional procedures. The study will monitor the rate of tumor deposits at the fusion site to better understand surgical outcomes and support future treatment guidelines for gastric cancer patients.
